MDI wins 2012 Pixie Gold Awards for OCA Image TV Production

Media Design Imaging (MDI) wins the 2012 Pixie Gold Award for its production of OCA Image TV. The Pixie Gold Award recognizes outstanding work in the fastest-growing area of the “pixel world”: digital animation, motion graphics and special effects. The award is sponsored by the American Pixel Academy. David E. Carter, the executive director of the academy, is also the founder of the Telly Awards and American Corporate Identity and is the editor of Creativity Annual.

Winning the 2012 Pixie Award recognizes that OCA Image TV is a high-quality, well-produced program. It has been recognized by the industry’s professionals of the moving pixel in fields of animation, motion graphics, and effects. OCA Image TV can be seen on Time Warner’s Cable TV20, online at ocagc.org, or via iTunes as a podcast download. More information about the program can be found at www.ocagc.org.

Since 2009, MDI has been OCA Cleveland Chapter’s production company. The OCA Image TV, is a thirty minute program to showcase Asian American culture and diversity in Northeast Ohio. The show was a volunteer project which received funding and support from local businesses and organizations that include Neighborhood Connections, Margaret Wong and Associates, Smile Dentals, Creative House Studios, MotivAsians for Cleveland, and many others.

The show is seen on Time Warner’s Cable TV20 by 290,000 households in Northeast Ohio. Latest episode titled “The future of Cleveland’s AsiaTown and Cleveland Asian Festival” was submitted in August for the Pixie Award and won.
