Internet VideoVision
On September 1999, filmmakers and members of the IndieClub Project were on their journey to make history by creating a project. The Project is a combined effort by video and film makers all over the World to create a movie made up of 5 to 10 minute shorts. The unique aspect of this Project is the fact that no one on this project has ever physically met each other. The entire project was suggested by a member of the IndieClub, (Douglas Lee Miller). Since his initial suggestion on the IndieClub Message Board, there has been a flood of responses. Due date for the Project was set for February 1st, 2000. Not many clips made it on time, but the few did, are showcase below...

Drinking Games
|
Shawn
Wickens is MDI's Production Manager and an animator / storyboarder. He has
been involved in film editing and creation since the founding of MDI, a
member that we can't do without. He recently helped finished Johnny Wu's
60-minute documentary and has taken the interest in creating a short with
Mark Colella. Mark Colella is a standup comedian that will go far and beyond
than your average John Doe. Mark has helped greatly as Key Grip for MDI's
feature film Twisted and has participated in MDI's other projects.
The Drinking Game was shot during a Saturday afternoon (without script,
without planning) "Go with the flow" as Shawn said.... |
Shawn incorporated
over 300 animated drawings which took him over a month of constant drawing,
scanning, cuting and pasting. The new version is now available on Real
Player format, we have divided the clip into four segments to make
it easier for streaming. (The clips are encoded for
56k users and up, but its quality may suffer. Broadband users should get
smooth playback.) |
