Basic Lighting with Cinematographer Greg Petusky

In any video production, wheter with film or digital, the main thing to produce a good picture during production is through proper lighting of the scene.

With limited budget, an independent filmmaker can not afford to hire a professional director of photography (commonly known also as cinematographer).

You don't need to be a pro to know the basic 1-2-3 of lighting. MDI's director of photography and also the President, Mr. Greg Petusky, recently put together a small 4 minutes clip on the Basic Lighting.

The clip was produced in 1 day and was to be used as part of his workshop during the 1st Jakarta International Independent Filmmakers Festival in Indonesia.

Now it is available FREE in mpg1 format! Download the 28meg size file, unzip it and double clip to play. With a 320x240 view, you will experience first hand the proper usage of lighting.
