The Rapture

a film by Johnny K. Wu, co-written by James V. Geier

A feature film iinspired by the awards winning short film A Joker's Card.

A darker film with our own characters and Chimaeras. A sci-fi/Anime styled film scheduled for principal photography in July 2006.

After a four hours open audition on October 15, 2005, we invited a few back for 2nd read which included the talented actors: Brian Richeson, George Michael Tutie, Jason McAleer and Matthew Veltri. We also invited Annie Kitral to play Dr. Gutierrez to read with us in hope that we can get a good flow among these 4 whom are auditioning for the role of Midael and Job/Abaddon.

It was an extremely difficult decision, we came to the conclusion to offer Brian Richeson for the role of Job/Abaddon and George Michael Tutie for the role of Midael, we also had cast several other cast members.

The basic list as follows (this is only a partial isting with main and supporting roles):

Synopsis:

Trust: Just a five-letter word, but one that carries more weight in this world than any could fathom. What happens when sabotage, deceit, and betrayal push trust to the breaking point? When Midael and Abaddon, two enhanced humans (Chimaeras: Midael with 15' long metal wings that shoots out like daggers, Abaddon/Job with 15' long metal tail and can manipulate energy), become part of a high-stakes and violent game of cat-and-mouse, each learns just how much trust can be lost when everyone they meet has an agenda. Soon, the two must adapt their own agendas as they are dragged further into a chaotic realm of hatred, illusion, and death. When the pieces finally fall into place, where will their allegiances lie? As trust becomes merely a myth, will they find themselves becoming part of the very organizations that sought to use them, or will they break free and seek out destinies of their own making?
